Fondé en 2002 par le dj Okin Akaniko, X Music est une plateforme dédiée à divers projets artistiques telles que l’organisation d’événements (soirée Plastic au Triptyque) et de tournées sur la France, le management des labels Plastic (2008) et Xplor (Détroit).

Music Man Records fut fondée en 1988 par le propriétaire du magasin Music Man à Gand, situé au c--ur de la scène techno belge.
Franck De Wulf fut un des premiers artistes du label. Il est le créateur des célèbres séries B-sides et d’autres projets tels que F.O.G. et Rhythm Device.
D’autres sorties suivent et le label MUSIC MAN devient vite un des labels techno les plus reconnus.
En 1994, Music Man fait peau neuve : nouveaux logos design et artistes.
La direction artistique est confiée à Stefaan Vandenberghe alias T-Quest.
La renaissance du label est marquée par l’illustre « Hit Hard » de Robert Armani.
Depuis, de nombreuses artistes ont fait la renommée du label :
Secret Cinema ('Timeless Altitude'), Damon Wild, Slam, Inner City, Dave Clarke, Carl Craig, Kenny Larkin, Stacey Pullen, Cherry Bomb, Steve Rachmad (Ignacio, Parallel 9, Sterac and Sterac Electronics), Bandulu, Green Velvet (‘Destination Unknown’, ‘Answering Machine’, ‘La La Land’ and countless other techno classics), Jeff Mills, Steve Stoll, Taksi, Robert Hood and plus récemment Aril Brikha, Deetron (‘The Afterlife’, ‘Life Soundtrack’), Redshape, Raudive et Quince.
Début 2008 marquera la sortie du premier album de Petar Dundov ‘Escapements’ qui va a coup sur créer l’événement dans la communauté techno.
