Indianapolis based power-pop trio The FUGLEES exploded onto the scene in 2002 with the release of their wildly popular debut CD Apeshit. The album virtually flew off the shelves at local record stores and established the band as a driving force in the indianapolis music scene. Armed with humor, wit and and endless repertoire' of catchy pop songs, the FUGLEES were chosen from among 250 artists to be one of the three winners in WRZX's battle of the bands. They followed this accomplishment by repeating the feat; placing in the top three of the Benchmark Records battle of the bands. Creating a buzz that's hard to ignore, the FUGLEES are receiving airplay in a growing number of radio markets throughout the Midwest and have become regular guests on "The Big Dumb Show" (WRZX). Released to critical acclaim, the FUGLEES debut CD,"Go Apesh*t" was voted one of the top ten albums of the year by both The Indianapolis Star and NUVO Newsweekly. Recently, the FUGLEES were voted on of the top 5 acts in Indiana and were featured headlinersfor the annual Indianapolismusic.net showcase. The irresistibel appeal of the band led to an invitation to preform for industry insiders from across the country at the kick-off party for the 2002 Midwest Music Summit. The FUGLEES are currently talkin' the talk and walkin' the walk at industry showcases around the country. The Band released their much anticipated second CD "Indiana" in 2004 to rave reviews. Mastered by Andy Vandette (Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker) "Indiana" is garnering the kind of attention that has The Fuglees poised for a national breakout. The new album has received regular rotation in over 400 radio stations nationwide and is even charting above many more familiar national acts like Greenday or Cake. .. {} .. ....
