Jimi Hendrix, the most influential person in my life. Colour (the band), the most creative band i have heard in a long while. Alex Turner, as his lyrics are amazing. Arctic Monkeys, as the rhythm sections are tight as fuck! Caleb Followill, his voice is unique. There are more, but that will do for now :)
Jord's Influences:
My experiences, women, parties, things that happen that are interesting, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Radiohead, Pete Doherty, Damien Rice, Alex Turner, Gil Scott-Heron, Jeff Buckley, people who hold an extreme state of mind, any songs/genres/noises that are particularly powerful and moving, any music with some passion, good lyrics, the mind... My most important influence is my brother, Ash Woolnough; I'll be feeding on his shadow for a long while yet.
Jack's Influences:
Herbie Hancock, Jazzanova, John Coltrane, Gil Scott-Heron, Courtney Pine, Acoustic Ladyland, Michael Brecker, The Verve, Polar Bear, Jan Gabarek, kingmill and cool times.

The current incarnation of the band formed when an old act some of us were in fell through, with new members Jordan and Jack joining the leftovers. The five of us played together once at a 'Battle of the Bands' school event, intending it to be a one-off, for a laugh. But we enjoyed it so much we decided to start practicing together seriously, and writing more original material to be put together into a set. Now some of the us have grown fuzzy hairdo's because it makes us feel really good about ourselves.
The band name has nothing to do with the police.
