“The kind of band that pick you up and drop you off at some unknown destination with your hair all ruffled. Genre crunching, musically expansive, they fervidly express their creativity and ideas in a refreshing manner”

"The Good Hurt's performance was full of energy and quiet/loud moments that were executed with a Black Francis like precision... if you like your US alt rock then this band is definitely for you"

Formed and based in Manchester, UK. We dig all genres except New Jack Swing which gets us agitated.
Our influences are scientific, romantic, realistic, cinematic and nihilistic - coupled with the daddy of all influences - context.
Prescription No 1, the first EP, is super-punk oik one minute while classic and well structured the next. We love variety. We recorded and mixed the EP in two days and made sure that the energy went straight to the recording...no tricks - it's all playing.
We dig the challenge of breeding an eclectic yet coherent output and we are as likely to use a wobbly synth or accordion as we are a distorted guitar.
We're gigging all over Manc and killing it - come and see us play please - we guarantee a good time. We're The Good Hurt.
C'mon Suck the Zeitgeist or at least lick it a couple of times.
