Our influences range from: earth wind & fire, eva cassidy, yellow jackets, prince, sting, george duke, dusty springfield, burt bacharach; and the list goes on.
Sounds Like
Our intention is not to sound like anyone but ourselves; however, our music is often described or likened to a collaboration between "eva cassidy" and "prince"
Multi-instrumentalist-song-writers, Bernard-Davy-Phillips; are better known as the "groove-hustlaz," as they go about their work writing catchy, refreshing, wholesome pop music, with jazzy, soulful, funky overtones.
The guys have chosen Lucinda O'Connell as their featured vocalist, and have been writing specifically for Lucinda's distinctive voice, since the end of October 2007.
Already, this newly formed production team have written a massive concept album, consisting of twelve inspiring love songs destined for release early in 2008.
The combination of sounds they produce is best described as: "Eva Cassidy" meets "Prince". Each song is expertly crafted and contain all the hallmarks of classic, timeless, masterpieces.
The "groove-hustlaz", are poised to burst onto the live scene in January 2008, with a schedule of warm up gigs before unveiling their "Gangster's of Love" concept album.
