The Hillary Step is a NYC-based acoustic band whose songs feature an eclectic mix of styles, from rock to reggae and jazz to pop. Their lush vocal harmonies as well as tight and unusual instrumental arrangements combine to form a sound which is both unique and accessible. Songwriters Rob Schiffmann (guitar and vocals) and Jon Rothstein (vocals and bass) have been collaborating since 1994. The Hillary Step has developed a sizable following, performing extensively in New York City at such notable venues as The Bitter End, Kenny's Castaways, Downtime and CBs 313 Gallery. The band has also performed throughout the tristate area and in Colorado, New England and the Midwest. The Hillary Step has released its first CD of 12 original songs entitled Knee Deep in Giants. They are now working on their second album, with plans to release it in winter 2006. The band plans to tour to promote their album. They currently are available to perform as both a duo and a full band.

according to what I read, apparently you record your own stuff, considering which, I tip my hat. the music is well mixed, with a very nice vocal blend, melodic bass balanced against tasteful guitar, and solid songwriting.
