The Hiram Key are not here to change the world! They are here to play music that they would like to listen to.
With their debut album still labeless (and ready to be produced by a scene Icon), The Hiram key are about to embark on a series of shows that will see them open festivals in Europe and tour accross the UK & USA before the year is out.
So if you like any of the influences listed over there to the left...there's a very good chance that you will enjoy The Hiram Key!
If you are from a label that produces music from the darker side or even heavy Placebic indy, please do get in touch.
Meanwhile, here is what The NME had to say about our first show!
"There are some parts of the set where The Hiram Key prove they are not here just to take the piss out of anyone "not goth", but here also to drag Goth music out of the almost "Happy Hardcore" direction it's been heading in.
"Suzanna" tells of a chance sighting of a lost love last seen 15 years before "It's from a time when I spent all my time listening to The Cure, She (suzanna) was stood right next to me on a bus in Stockholm (I hadnt seen her for over 6 years) and I couldnt bring my self to speak to her this time. I was speechless and she just disapeared into the crowd again."
With a few more bands like this, surely the Marquee club will re-open in charing x road ( or maybe not).
"Trad pop goth" is back and this time it is grinning from ear to ear as the oldies remind the new generation of "teeny goths" how to put make-up on properly and more importantly; how to play "real instruments". I watch and wait in hope ;)"
"Jonny Centrafuge"- NME
