Formed after the demise of NY experimental black death metal band Thralldom. After a recording a solo demo cdr under the name Drifting Collision, Killusion sought out a good drummer and found Parasitus. Both have been allies in the underground for 7 or 8 years. The duo recorded their debut cd "Pestilence & Peril" which was released on Profound Lore records. Next on the agenda is a 7" that is to be released on Trust No One Recordings. After that Parasitus and Killusion will jam together in the same room together over the summer of 08! Living on opposite coasts, The Howling Wind has up until now, only recorded through the mail. This will all change in the future. After the summer writing session, where killusion will go to portland, some time at the end of 08/early 09, parasitus will come to ny to finish up writing album 2. Then!, the plan is for both members to enter goatlord sanford parkers volume studio in 09 for the next release on Profound Lore....Until then, we are capable of some more vinyls, comps, splits or whatever else comes our way.
Thralldom was absolutely one of my favorite blackmetal acts, now Howling Wind will fill its place for sure. Talent is your middle name, sir, keep making fuckin good music.
