Sounds Like
The scent that permeates the aftermath of New Order (circa "Factus 8") gang raping the child from the cover of U2's "War".
Last but not least were The Hunt, NYC's premier post-punk revival band. The Hunt call to mind the thrashiest elements of the Damned and Nick Cave, the more melodic atmosphere of the Cult's early years, and the passion of Scott Walker, wrapped up into a fiery ball of energy. Not even the drummer sat still, as the band's stage presence lived up to the powerful nature of their songwriting. The Hunt are perhaps the most fun (and perhaps most dangerous) band in New York City, both under the surface and in execution, and this particular live performance was one of the best I'd seen from the band, through and through.
Unearthed in the syringe strewn alleys of Manhattan's Chinatown, The Hunt are a murder of post apocalyptic degenerate gentlemen. Inspired by their own reverberative gin soaked compositions, their sole aim in existence is to spread their seed, sound, and superiority to the unwashed masses.
