Lately we've been covering Little Richard's "Long, Tall Sally"
For anyone who doesn’t know, which is most of you, we’re working on 2 new
albums. The Relationship and Train Tracks. We hit the studio and laid down a
few tracks for The Relationship recently, and incidentally formed a FRIENDSHIP
with Josh Antonuccio of 3 Elliott Studio in Athens, Ohio. That friendship is
not sinking, and we’re very excited to be working with him.
We’re also looking to start doing some more shows, locally,
nationally, worldly, heavenly, universally. What? If you’re looking for some
guys to do a show with in the land of music (Ohio) please, tell us, and we
will play. We will play our instruments, and vocal chords and we will smile,
and dance, and … Either way, keep a close eye out for bulletins or blogs that
will alert you when/where we will be playing. We’ve been known to throw a
sweet listening party from time to time, so I encourage you to come out and
have a good time. How many of you were actually encouraged by what I just
wrote? That many?
I really liked the Happy Birthday ep. The cd and case are out in my truck, but off the top of my head, "Last Happy Birthday", "The Hurrican't", and "October" were all great songs. Although October is still my favorite song, I loved the line "Waiting for you is like a lake that waits forever for a hurricane".
Off from Part-Y, "Inside Jokes" was my favorite. "Jesus is drinking alone" is the best line ever. "A Drunken Reflection" and "The Difference Between a Marriage and a Funeral" were both nice in that they were both upbeat, yet had a somber message to them. Hope this helped. Rock on and can't wait to hear what ya put out next.
