'Another Kick At Old Lovers' ep out now - NME - "Big hearted, sky-gazing epic indie"
The Loaded Dice, a 5 piece band from Mid Wales, complete a successful 2009 with a follow up to their fast selling self released album, ‘Sex, Drugs and Atonement’ by releasing their debut single, 'Another Kick At Old Lovers". Released via This Sound, the 4 track digital single is now available from i-Tunes (mp4 format) and 7-Digital music (mp3).
Despite being judged by Malcolm McLaren (maverick former manager of Sex Pistols) and DJ Annie Nightingale as winners at the UK final of ‘Live & Unsigned 2009’, the band turned their back on the restrictive contract put forward as a prize and instead concentrated on finalising the tracks that will form a new album to be released early 2010; working title is “Demons”.
“So far, in 2009 we've played a BBC Wales live session, been heard by the likes of Malcolm McLaren, played our first festival dates and even been reviewed in the Sunday Sport. We're finishing the year with a gig at Manchester's 'In The City' festival behind us , a new deal and our first fully distributed single release"
The band's priorities for 2010 are to finalise their mini tour for Jan / Feb (London, Sheffield and Manchester now confirmed; plus Radio Wales live session) and finish work on their follow up single (tbc) and the release of their next album (working title 'Demons').
