About me:

Who we are: The L Word .. is run by 2 webmasters. Oz, a native of Sydney, Australia and Slicey, a native of Kansas City, Missouri met first .. in 2000 then in person in July 2002.

How we began: Brought together by a mutual admiration of what they felt was the best show on television, Young Americans, they continued to follow the careers of the actors and actresses who had appeared on that show. It was this respect of YA alum Katherine Moennig that led them to discover (in July 2003) that the actress had been cast in a lesbian TV series titled Earthlings. Intense research was begun by Oz who discovered bits and pieces of info about the fortcoming show and shared it with other lesbian and entertainment-related web sites. After a couple months of sharing info with others and correcting erroneous info we found on the web we came to the decision that we would start our own web site to share what we could find out with others. Our longtime plan of a Kate Moennig web site pushed to the backburner we set out to create the best web site we could for The L Word.

Our purpose: To create a complete fan site showcasing all aspects of the television series The L Word. To focus not only on the cast and the episodes, but to show our appreciation for the creators, the producers, the writers, the crew and to share all information we could find relating to The L Word for viewers both inside the U.S. and outside its borders.
