   About The Madrigals
'And who shall silence all the airs and madrigals that whisper softness in chambers?' - Milton

"Sophisticated in their simplicity, these neo-retro threnodies capture the romance and ambiance of a fourteenth century garden party without sacrificing a certain jaded, post-modern realism." - Janus Nygaard

Hi Rachel,

I'm touched and flattered that your band would want to record a song based on me. I like the sound of it very much and think the singer has a very good voice too. Good luck with everything that you do.

Best wishes

Daniel Tammet

Hello there lovely people.

You are very lovely.

I just wanted to post a comment on your page to tell how wonderful you are both musically and individually as little people. I have had an ace weekend and you four are one of the main reasons that has been the case. I enjoyed everything from meeting you at piccadilly through ruining your baked potatoes, dancing to you in manchester, providing you with ice lollies at home, having my bath stolen by rachel, travelling over to holmfirth after far too little sleep, watching you slightly less drunk than the previous night in the picturedrome, having a lovely barbecue and dj set from other rachel at the campsite (whilst also drinking lots of bottles of beer), dancing to/watching/being a bit squished to one chip potato & the transcendental watermusicians at the nook, making a speech, snoring, sitting around a fire whilst somebody came and poured water on it during a set by somoeone who was amazing on the harmonica and various members of the madrigals and one chip etc, snoring again, all the way to hugging you all goodbye in the co-op car park and missing you for the rest of Sunday. I hope you had a lovely time at Jack's mum's house and you got the train ok and in fact that everything that's happened since we parted on Sunday has gone well. I hope that it won't be a long time until I see you somehow again whether it be to watch you playing instruments or not. You're all ace. The Madrigals are ace. Manchester was ace. Holmfirth was ace. Thank you.

Lots of love from Matthew x

(ps I hope Harriet's feeling much better by now)

This is what listening to The Madrigals feels like...

Last day of high school
The summer awaits!
Sprinklers on the lawn!
Making the road outside your house into a badminton court
Kissing the christian girl next door even though you're banned from going near her house
Breaking into the local sports ground to play boules at night (and carefully put everything back before you leave)
Asking someone out dancing when you can waltz!
Selling homemade lemonade
