One night as Todd was discussing his plans to auditorily hiJack the world, he was overheard by a young lady who gave him the email address of one who she described as "like totally reminds me of you!" Ever since then, Todd has played lead guitar in Mark's band (Latham) and Mark's done the same for theMcCools. |
One day as Todd was doing some cardio and resistance training in the gym of his apartment complex, he met another fitness-seeking musician. Greg and Todd began recording demo versions of what became 'PlanA' at Greg's studio and soon after Greg became keyboardist/sampler. Greg also recently scored the TV theme to a fashion show. |

Sam and Todd found each other on the InterNet. Sam's residence houses the writing sessions for theMcCools. Sam's got talent, touring experience, and more adapters than radioshack. You'll frequently see him behind a drumset wearing headphones during the live performances; he's listening to a click track, the samples that Greg plays, and Miles Davis records, at the same time.

George and Todd met in a band called Grandville. You can catch them inbetween theMcCools&..39; shows with the producer of PlanA, Robb Vallier, as the frontman. George filled in for a gig with theMcCools one saturday night in SilverLake and he's been laying down the bottom end on the bass guitar in this 5-piece ever since. |
the Todd McCool bio....
Quick History - love, money, and death
Born in the mid70's and raised in Terre Haute, Indiana. Never heard of it? Well, it's the hometown of Indiana State University, where Larry Bird played college basketball and where todd studied Psychology. Terre Haute was a small town, obviously, but it provided glimpses of the city life and amazingly never possessed todd's vocal chords with the southern accent inherent in the rest of its population. so, without the southern hospitality, you'd never know he's from middle america. Musically raised on radio rock and pop legends, todd always had an interest in music that combined authentic talent, honesty, and hooks. At age 11 the NBA was replaced by MTV in todd's heart and he picked up the guitar. and although playing along with favorite songs and writing riffs were todd's national pastimes, it wasn't until college that a fear of death, an enlightenment of human motivation, and longing for simpler days led todd into a spiritual quest that spawned a songwriter with a mission of lending a hand in creating a new social conscience.
"the songs are escape mechanisms and for me, provide a focus of meditation. What you focus on mentally can shape you spiritually and physically, so if i'm going to play these songs religiously, i'm going to make sure they focus on things that are important now and in the future. On the surface they are stories, but inside of them are personal codes and laws about love, purpose, and self-talk that i think a lot of people relate to."
