About me:

The Missing Trailer Contest Winner is...
John Palisano!

Congratulations John! I loved all the entries, but the one that suits that works best as a trailer for The Missing is this one:

Well thought out, thematically related to the novel, artistic, and technically skilled. Thanks, John! I'd considered honorable mentions, but honestly, they were ALL so good that chosing a first place winner was hard enough. I'm still linking to all the entries on my website. Thanks everybody, for participating. You made my month. Watch more trailers here:

In the affluent town of Corpus Christi, Lois Larkin's boyfriend Ronnie dumps her for her best friend. In her heartbreak, she takes her third grade class on an ill-advised field trip to Bedford. The children discover something buried in the woods, and a sickness that changes people soon spreads...

More about me...

"Akin to the more ambitious work of Stephen King...this effective debut promises great things to come." -Publishers Weekly

"Deft and disturbing... twists expectations into surreal surprises... hypnotic reading..." -Douglas E. Winter

"Chilling, haunting and so smartly written that the pages fly by like the wind." -Ray Garton

I'm a Brooklyn-based writer. My first novel The Keeper was released in 2006, and was a New York Times' Editor's Choice. My second novel The Missing is out now, from HarperCollins. So far it's gotten a starred review from Publisher's Weekly.

I've got interviews running in the September issues of Fangoria, Rue Morgue, and Writer's Market, and several soon to come in October in November in Dark Scribe and Fearzone.com. I've also got some short stories coming out in the next few issues of Cemetery Dance Magazine, as well as a chapbook called "The Lost," also from Cemetery Dance, and a long piece in the PS Anthology Darkness on the Edge: Stories Inspired by Bruce Springsteen Stories. I'm working on two novellas, a collection of short stories, and my third novel, Audrey's Door.

Congratulations on the pick up by Dimension for Audrey's Door. I wished they'd picked up The Keeper first though. That would have been sah-weet. Peace.

Sarah- I recently read up on you, and I just have to offer my sincere congratulations on your Bram Stoker Award this year. And for Best Novel! That's the Oscar for Best Picture as far as I'm concerned. What a tremendous, tremendous achievement! I am thoroughly impressed. Very well done; you must have worked extremely hard on that book. I can't wait to get ahold of The Missing. I take my hat and everything else off to you. Oh dear, I've just frightened the neighbors.

I really loved The Keeper...it made me feel the way I did when I read The Dark by James Herbert when I was a kid. Really scared and full of dread.
