Sounds Like
Probably nothing you've heard, each song is different due to the influences.
You Are 0% Capitalist, 100% Socialist
You see a lot of injustice in the world, and you'd like to see it fixed.
As far as you're concerned, all the wrong people have the power.
You're strongly in favor of the redistribution of wealth - and more protection for the average person.
Ladies And Gentlemen.... This Is a Hostage

The MOLOTOV, a Punk/Rap/Metal/Electronica outfit with a diverse hybrid sound, confrontational lyrics and art/video/visuals, combine various musical styles to create a unique sound and an entertaining, if somewhere distrubing, live show.
Mixing machine-gun style rap/punk lines with strong melodic female vocals, infectious guitar & bass riffs and samples with rock, punk, techno, metal & breakbeat drums, The MOLOTOV create an original, energetic and thought provoking fusion of styles with their personal & socio/political lyrics. As well as their own originals, their live sets also include their own distinct cover versions of several well known songs: Prodigy’s BREATHE, RATM's Guerrilla Radio, etc.
Their new "Last Ri†es 4 Capitali$m"
DEMO is the first full band effort from The MOLOTOV, the first CD, “Limited
Sedition” being primarily a solo project by SCART.
"Last Ri†es 4 Capitali$m"
features the rythym/lead guitar & vocals of SCART, the bass guitar & back up
vocals of Matt & the vocals of KT (Caitlin Solca) who’s styles range from delicate
harmonies through to Riot Grrl attacks. It’s songs vary from the soft sounds
of “Mother” with KT’s soft melodies & SCART’s
pulled back spoken word, to the pumping grooves & growling bass of “FREE?”,
the accoustic rap/rock anthem of “In The RED”,
the upbeat punk styles of “TOYTOWN” & “CORPOCRACY’,
through to their full throttle 2009 rendition of “Go
Back To Sleep” with it’s pounding riffs & assaulting lyrics and chant.
Their new drummer Stu, who joined near the end of the demos completion, adds
to the bands dynamics, fills out & tightens their sound and brings his own style
& influnces which can be heard in their live sound and on future recordings.
The "Last Ri†es 4 Capitali$m" & “Limited
Sedition” Demo CD’s are both available for $15 Australia ($11 US, 7.5
pounds UK) which includes shipping. You can get them using the PAYPAL button

*NOTE: Many thanks to those that support us, add
our songs to their profiles and vote for us on Triple
J’s Unearthed. Independent & non-commercial bands have a hard enough time
getting exposure and that goes 10 TIME OVER for any artists that have strong messages
or that seek to provoke thought in their listeners so all support, song adds and
help in spreading the word is greatly appreciated.
“These are not theories but anthems, anthems not just of
outrage but of the joy that lives & prevails under the catastrophic times we
live in. Is it punk, new wave, metal, rock, pop, hip hop or all of the above?“—
Kirpal Gordon, editor of Unlikely Stories
On the song “Hey-Ho (Howard The Coward)
“THE MOLOTOV blow my fuse, this song lights my wick and
sends the prcks packing - 4 star cyber political call to arms - come & light
your fuse!!!!!!!!!!!!” - GHOSTBOY, Outsiders Festival
“I am a long-time fan of System of a Down, and The Molotov
are on that same angry, expressive, honest wavelength.” - ANTI-PAGANDA, Triple

On the song “GO BACK TO SLEEP”
“This track kicks ass! And the ending is really powerful.
These apathetic times desperately need more protest songs, and more young people
questioning the BS these governments serve up.” - Liz Hall-Downs
Thanks for beeing our friends!!! Your stuff is great! Thanks for the kind words, and nice meeting you. Wonderful day and a fun week too.. Thanks we love you ! Greetings from DeMente.
Yes!!!! Another friend...LOL....it's definitly our pleasure......now you know this friendship thing is long term so you gotta stop by and drop a comment from time to time...
Definitely, I'm with you on that message Scart. Most of our music isn't really political, but check out "Emotional Breakfast Crunch" and I think it should be clear that Sad Forever and Molotov are natural allies :)
Thanks guys, you played a crakin set too, pity about the feedback but once it was sorted it was kick arse! Really loved "In The Red" and thanks for "Guerilla Radio", that was EPIC!
