Probably nothing you've heard, each song is different due to the influences.
You Are 0% Capitalist, 100% Socialist
You see a lot of injustice in the world, and you'd like to see it fixed.
As far as you're concerned, all the wrong people have the power.
You're strongly in favor of the redistribution of wealth - and more protection for the average person.

The MOLOTOV, a Punk/Rap/Metal/Electronica outfit with a diverse hybrid sound, confrontational lyrics and art/video/visuals, combine various musical styles to create a unique sound and an entertaining, if somewhere distrubing, live show.
Mixing machine-gun style rap/punk lines with soft melodic female vocals, infectious guitar rythyms and samples with rock, punk, techno and breakbeat drums n’ bass, The MOLOTOV create an original, energetic and thought provoking fusion of styles. As well as their own originals, their live sets also include their own distinct cover versions of several well known songs: Prodigy’s BREATHE, Underneath The Radar, Guerilla Radio, Holiday In Cambodia, etc.

*NOTE: Many thanks to those that support us, add our songs to their profiles and vote for us on Triple J’s Unearthed. Independent & non-commercial bands have a hard enough time getting exposure and that goes 10 TIME OVER for any artists that have strong messages or that seek to provoke thought in their listeners so all support, song adds and help in spreading the word is greatly appreciated.
Rappers: Check out "The Common" & rock/didj/rap of "TerrorNullius"
Punx: Try "Go Back To Sleep"
Goths/MetalHeads/Ravers: have a listen to the "BREATHE" Prodigy cover.
For the rest: "MOTHER" & "In The RED"
Reviewers have said:
“These are not theories but anthems, anthems not just of
outrage but of the joy that lives & prevails under the catastrophic times we
live in. Is it punk, new wave, metal, rock, pop, hip hop or all of the above?“—
Kirpal Gordon, editor of Unlikely Stories
On the song “Hey-Ho (Howard The Coward)
“THE MOLOTOV blow my fuse, this song lights my wick and
sends the prcks packing - 4 star cyber political call to arms - come & light
your fuse!!!!!!!!!!!!” - GHOSTBOY, Outsiders Festival
“I am a long-time fan of System of a Down, and The Molotov
are on that same angry, expressive, honest wavelength.” - ANTI-PAGANDA, Triple

On the song “GO BACK TO SLEEP”

These apathetic times desperately need more protest songs, and more young people
questioning the BS these governments serve up.” - Liz Hall-Downs

The CD (demo), "Limited Sedition
by The Molotov, is an angry, charged, and at times darkly humourous collection
of seven songs. The music is a hybrid fusion of industrial, rap, hardcore punk/metal
guitar riffs, breakbeat & pumping techno, while the lyrics are explicit, confrontational
and pull no punches.
With songs like "Democracy The Brand, The Common (I got more in common, with
the people youre bombin, than I do, with you), Spit Molotovs, Revolution Hey-Ho
(Howard the Coward) and Go Back To Sleep, The Molotov comment on the world,
those who rule and control it, and on what that means for the rest of us.
Similar to Rage Against The Machine, Anti-Flag and Public Enemy in their unashamedly
anti-corporate and pro People Power stance, The Molotov deliver music and words
straight from the heart. The writer, lyricist and guitarist, scart (shane carter)
blends riffs, beats and styles, new and old, in his songwriting to create a
unique, catchy and powerful sound that well suits the hard-edged lyrics.
Limited Sedition is the first collection of songs by The Molotov and they are
looking for support to take their work into a studio. They welcome any enquiries
regarding gigs.
The 7 track demo "LIMITED SEDITION" is available for $5 (australian)
(+$3 for P&H in oz, $7 overseas) by contacting SCART.

Hello! Thanks for the add. Great music & message! I love politically charged music. It's, historically, always been a vehicle through which people can come together around a common cause, and keep their spirits up through the struggle!
Comrades! Thanks for the contact, it's important that Revolutionary's all over the world network, and I'm sure you appreciate why :-)
Your songs are inspirational, I absoloutely love revolutionary music and I think it's so important because it's such a great way to get the fires, particularly in the young, hell it's what set me alight and now I'm an active Revo in the Socialist Party down here in Melbourne!
Keep up the hard work, and one day the global working and opressed classes will be victorious in overthrowing this thoroughly sick, rotten system and it's proponents.
Thank you, Scart! And for your email message, too--Very VERY cool. I'll get back to you. For now, I've made you a top friend, and thank you most of all for these brilliant lyrics, from this remarkable song: "...we’re the left, we’re the red, we’re the noise , in ya head, we’re the voice, when the poor, sing, NO FU-CKIN MORE, this is the sound, of it all comin’ down, of it all comin down..."
