The Myrmidons:
Lori Lindsay – Vocals, Gtrs
Lauren Johnson – Keyboards, Backing Vocals
Ted Ottaviano – Keyboards, Programming
Ted and Lauren began their musical odyssey as classmates at The School of Visual Arts in New York City. Together they made up half of the band Book of Love, which released 5 albums and over a dozen 12" singles for Sire Records including the classics “Boy” and “I Touch Roses”. Since then Ted has continued working as a composer, producer and remixer with such artists as Fleetwood Mac, Hole and Madonna. Lauren has remained a renaissance woman. In addition to music, working with photography and video (watch for her contributions on this site) as well as acting in films including Silence of the Lambs and Philadelphia.
Over the past few years the two have been collaborating on a new group of songs that would showcase their love of melodies, chords (yes, bells too!) and above all the 60’s pop idiom. Enter vocalist Lori Lindsay, an acquaintance of Lauren’s and musician in her own right. Lori is a former member of The Prissteens who released their debut album Scandal, Controversy and Romance on Almo Sounds as well as continuing to perform with the band Purple Wizard. Lori was the musical kindred spirit Ted and Lauren were looking for to complete the sound and bring the songs to life.
Welcome to the “miscellaneous” category. How and why your profile page ended up there, only God almighty knows for certain.
It’s not so much your profile page fails to qualify for Darwin’s Century. Just that, well, I and my associates feel it fits much better in “miscellaneous”.
Share this video with your friends and family this holiday and tell them to download "Who Threw That Ham At Me" now on iTunes. Happy Thanksgiving from The Superions!

Ha! That's funny how things work! I saw your profile pic to the right of my screen and clicked on your page to read your full profile. As it turns out, I have been racking my brain for the last couple of weeks trying to figure out the name of this band I dug back in the late 80's...and I wore their tape out. It was you guys! Book of Love! I'm telling you I wore that tape out until it didn't play anymore! Have a great day!
Oh. MY. GOD. Your new release on I-Tunes...Andy Is had already become one of my all-time favorites (that ending man...I just have to dance around my room when I hear it)...but that Golden Toys Pt.2...I am truly speechless. This is some of the best stuff you have ever done.
