THE NEW YEAR is a band formed by Matt and Bubba Kadane, the founding members of BEDHEAD (1991-1998).
THE NEW YEAR was formed in the summer of 1999 and has released 2 albums:
"Newness Ends" (CD/LP) in 2001 and "The End is Near" (CD/LP) in 2004. Both albums are on Touch and Go Records and licensed in Europe, Japan, Hong Kong,
and Australia. The band has toured the U.S., U.K. and Europe.
A new album is scheduled for release in September with tours of the US and Europe to follow.

apparently one of your friends has a crush on me. thanks for the bewildering comment, even if it was just a spam mistake. it made me feel special. and to reciprocate, i had a schoolgirl crush on bedhead, sight unseen, the entire band, back when i was a twelve-year-old living in a small north dallas suburb. after thirteen years it's still going strong. in spite of the fact, or perhaps due to the fact that i now know what you look like. ah, what fun life was.
Hey, glad you guys found us and we in turn found you. I liked Bedhead, but I hadn't listened to those CDs in a while. Thanks for reminding me of the good music you guys make. I think the new stuff is a bit more involved. I like it.
