Formed in 2005 in Cosenza (Italy) by vocalist/songwriter Valerio (as drummer in that time) Offenders became popular in their local scene after the release of “Rudeboys on the dancefloor” during february 2006.
Many months later, their second single “Hooligan Reggae” gave them the chance to sign for the german label Conehead Records that released the first full lenght in November 2007. In that time Offenders toured all over Germany while Hooligan Reggae was becoming a hit single in the european ska scene. During may 2008 the Conehead Records released the 7” “Wake up Rebels”
Along with it Offenders had the chance to play in many countries like :
Italy , Germany , France ,Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland…
and many festivals like :
This is Ska Festival ( Rosslau – Germany ), Mantua Festival ( Roscommon – Ireland ), Skaville Festival ( Krk – Croatia ), Ultrash Festival ( Potsdam – Germany )... and more.
During october 2008 the band recorded the new album “Action Reaction” (mixed and mastered at NoHype Studio –Bruxelles- by Nico Leonard from Moon Invaders and Caroloregians) and signed with one of the most important label in the European ska scene: Grover Record. “Action Reaction” was out in March 2009 and along with it, the band appeared at Easter Ska Jam 2009 and supported as backing band the reggae legend Susan Cadogan…

I Rudy & Crudy nascono in un afoso pomeriggio nel luglio 2003 sulla
terrazza del C.S.O.A. Officina 99 (Napoli) dall'incontro di alcuni
musicisti campani dall'età disparate e disparate esperienze. Subito
inizia la ricerca di una propria identità musicale scavando nei meandri
dello ska giamaicano ed europeo, mescolando le carte, provando a
rispecchiare il background musicale dei singoli componenti. Nell'
autunno 2005 i Rudy entrano in sala di registrazione per dare vita al
loro primo lavoro" U' Mafia". Il lavoro, rigorosamente NO SIAE contiene
al suo interno tutto il necessario per produrre LIBERAMENTE copie
GRATUITE sia a scopo personale che per l'autofinanziamento di realtà di
movimento. I concerti arrivano e lo SKA dei Rudy si diffonde nei posti
più curiosi e disparati... arrivano apprezzamenti dall'estero e fra
questi il più gradito dalla leggendaria Pauline Black (the Selecter).
Anche radio uno (demo) si accorge di noi e passa più volte la nostra
musica.
Nel 2007 i Rudy cambiano pelle e così nasce una nuova famiglia,
salutiamo Napoli e spostiamo la nostra base operativa a Caserta, il
sound c'è sempre e così la festa continua e dopo una breve pausa
ricominciamo a girare l'Italia.
La band propone un gangster show in giacca e cravatta, occhiali scuri e
calzini bianchi, sonorità spesso cupe ai limiti dell'horror... ma è
tutto un gioco, alla fine questo è un mondo meraviglioso... forse!
