The Old Ground is here so ya best stand clear...
The Old Ground was born when someone decided to steal the musical equipment of the former emo/punk band Still Life. Left with nothing but two acoustic guitars David Pitzel and Paul Rauch of Still Life decided to do something completely different. Later Aaron Clare and David Osborn where recruited. But David Osborn lives in Chi Town and plays for the mighty Consafos, so his band membership was honorary. Mike Cooper signed on to take care of our low frequencies, and Heather Peters takes care of our business.
After playing for 2 years members started dropping like flies. We are gettin older after all and people needed to take care of life. Paul Rauch bowed out gracefully to pursue his acedemic career and is now a master of English literature. Mike Kupper left to take care of his responsibilities as a father. David and Arron kept it up for over a year recruting Chris Pitzel (formaly of Still Life) on the bass. After awhile this too would end. Arron is now a full time father and lovin it.
Currently David Pitzel is the only surviving member of The Old Ground. Now quietly recording songs in his garage. Look for a full length solo version of The Old Ground coming soon in the digital format.
The songs will keep coming so keep your ear out....
Checkout Crashed on Reverbnation! This song was originaly intended to be a Still Life song after our equipment got stolen however it never made it that far. This is the last Still Life song ever writen but has now become The Old Ground's first song ever writen. Hope you enjoy it.

I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.

Finally today I have the pleasure to announce you that Kutomo's cdr, Lauluja surun kaaresta is available on Dala Horse myspace.
This is the first release of the label so... I hope you'll like it.
The cdr is limited to 36 copies:
Kutomo is probably the Finnish project that,in the last years, has best embodied the feeling of his mother land. In his music lives all the poetry about the cold, the lakes and the immense Finnish forests. Melancholy and intimate as a day passed looking at the snow falling outside a window but also, in a certan way, "ephic" as the natural landscapes of his land.
right kindly obliged fer the add, Old Ground... s'some of the finest music that this here myspace has to offer an' we rights appreciate ya makin' it fer us, yup!
