About The Old Ground

The Old Ground is here so ya best stand clear... The Old Ground was born when someone decided to steal the musical equipment of the former emo/punk band Still Life. Left with nothing but two acoustic guitars David Pitzel and Paul Rauch of Still Life decided to do something completely different. Later Aaron Clare and David Osborn where recruited. But David Osborn lives in Chi Town and plays for the mighty Consafos, so his band membership is honorary. Mike Cooper has signed on to take care of our low frequencies, and Heather Peters takes care of our business. So we are f..ggin ready to go! Currently The Old Ground is gearing up to record and start playing shows around the greater Los Angeles area. We hope you like it...

This is the first release of the label so... I hope you'll like it. The cdr is limited to 36 copies: Kutomo is probably the Finnish project that,in the last years, has best embodied the feeling of his mother land. In his music lives all the poetry about the cold, the lakes and the immense Finnish forests. Melancholy and intimate as a day passed looking at the snow falling outside a window but also, in a certan way, "ephic" as the natural landscapes of his land.
