  • Bio

.. Brief History... The story starts in March 2002.. David Gurr has been composing and performing music for a long time. He has played in many bands including Firebird, Demeter Falls & The Phoenix Project & Divine Sinn as well as still working with C.H.A.O.S, Architexture & Obsidian Crusade. .... Xan Alexander has been composing since he was 15, mainly for his own enjoyment. But his main aim is to write music professionally in the area of the media. His debut album Star Dark was released in 2005. .... David and Xan met through Colin Jordan of Kinetik and hit it off straight away. They began working together in June 2002 on original material. To date they have created over 50 hours of music. .... David put together four CD's of the material recorded at the Mind Cavern and distributed them to various people in the electronic music scene. Including Carl Jenkinson of Sequences Magazine and David Law of Synth Music Direct. .... This resulted in a track from the Mind Cavern Sessions being featured on the Sequences 28 CD (which includes a review of the first two Mind Cavern CD's by Carl Jenkinson) and the debut CD of The Omega Syndicate on David Law's label Neu Harmony which has been very successful. .... The bands next release on Neu Harmony was "Phonosphere" which was recorded at the bands debut performance at The National Space Centre on the 13th November 2004. Which also included two studio tracks composed with Stuart Jackson. .... Early in 2006 the band began work with guitarist Robert Clynes (who played with David in the band Firebird in the 1980's). These sessions resulted in the bands latest Neu Harmony release "Apocalypse", which sees the band developing a more space/prog rock style. .... The bands next release was "Horsemen on the Horizon" which was recorded on July 8th as part of the Awakenings concerts in Leeds & featured Rob as well as keyboardist Glenn Alexander of Magrathea. .... Six limited edition CDRs have also been released as well as three download albums for Synth Music Direct & a few "FREE" albums as downloads or given out exclusively at concerts. .... David & Xan have expanded The Syndicate in an attempt to become "The Biggest Band in the World". So anyone interested in getting in the Guinness Book of Records, should join up. .... Other Syndicate members include: John Sherwood (4m 33s & Cult of Ashand & others), Javi Canovas, Stephan Whitlan (Narcosis & K2 Project) Stuart Judd (Chromengel), Ed Britten (Last Rites & C.H.A.O.S) Russell Storey, Steve Frost & Simon Webster. ....
