“OG are STILL the best underground band in Britain” – Tommy Udo (Metal Hammer)
“It has to be said that Orange Goblin shows are very predictable, in the sense that you know they are going to be brilliant before they even hit the stage!” – Terry Bezer (Kerrang!)
“Consistently one of the greatest live bands the UK has produced in recent decades!” – Dom Lawson (Classic Rock)
“Put simply, Orange Goblin are the best metal band in Britain!” – Malcolm Dome (Metal Hammer)
Orange Goblin triumphantly continue to uphold the traditions of great British heavy rock and metal. Having returned to the public eye with their stunning album ‘Thieving from the House of God’ in 2004, the Orange Goblin express train just keeps on gathering speed and the band are now considered pioneers in their field alongside the likes of Monster Magnet, Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Clutch and Corrosion of Conformity. The ‘Thieving…’ album managed to encapsulate all of the unique traits that we’ve become so familiar with from the bands previous four albums, released on the legendary Rise Above Records, the Goblin are still riding high and leading the pack in ‘balls to the wall’ heavy rock!. From the psychedelic noodlings of ‘Frequencies from Planet Ten’ to the greasy, biker groove of ‘Time Travelling Blues’, the crushing cosmic doom of ‘The Big Black’ right through to the aggressive punk-metal fusion of ‘Coup de Grace’ and the all out rock / metal majesty of ‘Thieving….’, the Goblin have continued to motor onward, freeing themselves from any stagnant pigeonhole that may be thrown their way.
Over the last 14 years, since their formation in the late night drinking holes of London’s Soho, the band have risen to the very pinnacle of what they do and played a major role in inspiring a whole crop of today’s snotty upstarts such as Raging Speedhorn, Charger, 3 Inches Of Blood, Viking Skull, Kylesa, Torche, Baroness and more. The Orange Goblin reputation as an awesome live band has seen them share the stage all over the world with the likes of Alice Cooper, Heaven & Hell, Sex Pistols, Kreator, Queens of the Stone Age, Danzig, Monster Magnet, Nashville Pussy, Cathedral, Nebula, Unida, Alabama Thunderpussy, Dio, Grand Magus, Witchcraft and many more. Over the years Orange Goblin have gained great maturity, due, in part, to the gruelling touring schedule that saw them conquer firstly the whole of Europe, a few times, and then headline a hugely successful first U.S tour, that saw them play sell out shows in New York, Chicago and the famous Troubadour in Los Angeles. There was also a successful trip to the far-east with 3 sold-out shows in Japan, along the way.
In 2004 Orange Goblin embarked on their biggest headlining world tour to date and proved to be a raging success everywhere they went. Again there were packed out shows at world famous venues like CBGB’s in New York, Chicago’s Double Door and the band headlined the notorious Emissions from the Monolith festival in Youngstown, Ohio for the second time.
After celebrating their 10 year anniversary with a sold-out show at the Underworld in London in 2005, which received a 5K review in Kerrang!, the band headlined another US Tour and began work on what would become their next album on new label Sanctuary Records. 'Healing Through Fire' was another slab of Sabbathian-Doom, punk-fuelled aggression and pure Heavy-Metal Thunder that earned rave reviews the world over and saw the band land a slot at the 2007 Download Festival at Castle Donington and support slots in Europe with Heaven & Hell. Orange Goblin also embarked on another headline tour of Northern Europe at the end of 2007, stole the show at the Damnation Festival as well as festivals all over the continent, recording a coveted BBC session at the world famous Maida Vale studio (which was later aired on the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show) and ended the year with a sell-out show at the London Islington Academy. 2008 saw the band continue the hectic touring schedule supporting the ‘Healing Through Fire’ album before signing a new worldwide deal with renowned metal label, Candlelight Records. 2009 has seen the band writing new material, occasionally escaping the studio with crushing performances at Hellfest in France, Roadburn Festival in Holland and the Planet Caravan Festival in North Carolina. Orange Goblin will end the year with their annual Christmas show, this year at The Scala in London in December. The new album will be released in 2010 and extensive touring and festival plans are being made…………you have been warned!
Orange Goblin were voted into the Top 10 Best Bands in the Terrorizer magazine Readers Poll for 2007. ‘Healing Through Fire’ came in at No.20 in Metal Hammer magazines Top 50 albums of 2007, was included in the Classic Rock Top 50 albums of 2007 and was voted 2nd best album of the year on AbsolutMetal.com.

We are finally getting the first issue of our 'zine sorted and have setup a forum to go with it's impending release in December.
Both the 'zine and the forum are for more than just music (although that is a big part of what we're about), we will be covering art, film, books, in fact pretty much anything and everything that is underground or alternative.
Have a look at the forum, sign up, start promoting your projects, band, writing, etc and join in the discussions.
