“I want to be a role model and make a personal connection with my music. I believe if you listen to one of my songs and relate, we’ll have a connection that won’t ever be lost.” Theory’s songs come from within; bringing a sincerity that is authentic, respectful and always emotional. Raised in Yonkers, NY, Theory began writing poetry inspired by musicians from Michael Jackson to Nas and Jay-Z. His gift of rhyme and realism naturally evolved into music, influenced by Akon and The Black Eyed Peas. He created an electrifying, multi-faceted style of sleek hip-hop lyrics with a twist of R&B flare. Theory has made quite an impact on the community regularly performing for charities and fundraisers. He speaks 3 languages and has traveled the world, performing across Belgium, Spain, France and the UK and alongside Cheri Dennis and Ne-Yo. On the music video front, Theory’s video for his song “Change” won the BET award for “Most Inspirational Music Video for an Independent Artist.” His newest video “We’ll Be Alright” takes you on a journey across space and time and holds the honor of having been the first ever video filmed on the world’s longest and highest pedestrian bridge. Since its release “We’ll Be Alright” has garnered much attention, quickly receiving more than 200,000 views on YouTube. Musically, Theory’s single “Swish” recently rose to the #1 position on WPKF 96.1 Kiss FM’s Total Request Countdown. It was the second time in the history of the station that a local independent artist managed to achieve such a feat, the first time the achievement also went to Theory for his song “A Soldier’s Heart.” Theory’s adventurous style coupled with his eclectic mix of genres leaves you wondering what is next and knowing that “Theory Is Everything.” -
