Hi Ben - nice name, and Country Music sounds great, as does Under Her Spell with full band treatment. Good luck with it all. We've just posted (You Keep) Your Eyes Open which you and I ran through acoustically all those months ago. And we're at The Betsey on November 10th. Last time I looked they hadn't sorted out the other band (s) - why don't you contact Plum
Music and try to get on the bill if you're free? Best, David

Hi, On March the 28th I am promoting an event to raise environmental awareness with Friends of The Earth.....and to make everyone listen to some kick ass rock n roll..A night of bourbon soaked gypsy blues led by The Urban Voodoo Machine, a band becoming increasingly notorious for their bizarre audience - often including fire breathing dwarves and transvestites, as much as for their dark hypnotic and stomping rhythms played by an ever increasing number of band members. The Urban Voodoo Machine are suave and dress to impress, so get your glad rags on and bring enough money to buy some absinthe.

Paul Hawkins & Thee Awkward Silences

Mar 11 2007 1:29 AM

Thee Awkward Silences' first ever Silent Night features miscreant misanthropic mayhem from David Cronenberg's Wife, subversive soulful sonnets from Albino, crunching cowgirl caterwauling from Li'l Lost Lou, ballsy bowbells blues from JJ Crash and intense enchanting intrigue from Something in the Water. Hosted by Paul Hawkins and Thee Awkward Silences, who will also perform a set of singular subversive showmanship.

Live music starts at 8, DJs til' late. Venue open 'til 2. Entry £4. Free biscuits for anyone who turns up in time for the first band.

See you there!

Hey Ben, a Very Very Happy Happy Birthday to you for yesterday. I hope it was a good time!

Thanks for your comment, it's really lovely and I didn't know those things. I like your new pink page. Pink is one of my favourite colours.

What's the name of that song of yours I always ask you to play? I want a copy of it to listen to at home.

Much Love,
Kidd

Hiya Ben, How it going? I'm sure you can understand how I haven't made it down to London yet! You need to do a tour, and visit manchester!! Reckon United aren't going to pursue Carrick. I'm not convinced he's a £20million pound player. You'll probably disagree!! What this 10 million pound striker you've signed like then? Is he to replace Mido or does it mean one of Keane or Defoe has to go?

I felt your comments page would look better with comments on it so I decided to write one.

Welcome to MySpace. You have some great influences there! Great songs too. "I Can't Help Believing" is my favourite but you already knew that.

The opening always reminds me of "Another Girl, Another Planet". Don't know why 'cos it doesn't sound anything like it. Maybe it's just a good dramatic opening.
