The Paradox are a mixture of heavy riffage and ball bustin' rhymes. Consisting of Beejay (Damaged Goodz), who in the past has opened for Xzibit, Busta Rhymes, Black Eyed Peas, The Game, 50 CENT & G-UNIT, Lloyd Banks, Sugar Hill Gang, The Streets and released a slew of critically acclaimed material (Keys to the City EP, Audiobiography LP, Blissphemy LP, among others!) james has been in various rock/metal guises and opened for the mighty Biffy Clyro in home town Fort William!. james and beejay were freinds for a long time and tried on a few occasions to get a band off the ground and finally struck gold with THE PARADOX!,brian(bass) and david(drums) joined from being family freinds with similar music tastes and everybody knows everybody in fort william. After 2 sold out shows at the legendary Glasgow's King Tuts Wah Wah Hut in support of EL-P and Necro, we finished recording our EP in December 07 and released it to great acclaim!,We had airplay from Jim Gellatly of XFM and Vic Galloway of Radio 1 before the EP was even pressed!.After a blazing live session on BBC radio1 with vic galloway THE PARADOX opened for SYSTEM OF A DOWN's new band SCARS ON BROADWAY at glasgow's ABC and went down a storm!.THE PARADOX have finished recording their debut LP "bleeding by example" which should see the light of day soon! .Enjoy our tunes in the meantime!

THE PARADOX
"bleeding by example" LP
"a blistering political ragestorm by a scots band who should be up with "BIFFY CLYRO" swinging a guitar for this country's rock legacy, there have been many claims that british bands and acts arent political enough, well just listen to "labour of hate in a blanket democracy",its a scathing attack on gordon brown and politicians in general as Brian Jamieson raps "i cant smoke inside,i cant drink outside" while ripping through expense fiddling MPs.This is a heavy album with metal thrash tunes such as the title, but there's clever lyrics and melodies and tight playing amidst the blitzkreig of guitar noise!.Rapper THE FREESTYLE MASTER features on the gravestone heavy "stone cold",while "Pubwatch" dissects our nations love of a good night out over some top RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS type riffing!!"
