CD Review by North East Music Organization (NEMO) editor Scott Flax:
"You often hear it asked: Where can you find good new music and artists? Stop right here and take a listen. I have had the benefit of seeing these guys play out, and was so entranced by the age versus talent, forget that, just the talent at any age. Shelah [Kelso], Karl [Strauss], Scott [John Miller], and maybe the new adition of Kevin [Vanderhoof], comprise this very talented organization of notes, chords, instruments, and players. They are songsmiths that have little local equal. I find it impossible to single out any of the 5 pieces on this disc to say any stand out. They are all equally entrancing. The production is very good, the songs are tasty, the vocals are wonderful, and the harmonies, exquisite. Buy this CD. Go see them live (they have CDs for sale at every show). This is new music from young craftsmen that needs exposure."
The band started in Los Angeles with Karl Strauss and Shelah Kelso writing and recording songs together as The Patchwork Quilt Fallacy. After playing in several other bands in LA, they both realized the east coast colleges would provide them with more opportunities to tour and reach out to their fans. So the duo relocated to Northeastern Pennsylvania and began to find band members with a passion and drive for lifelong musical success that matched that of Shelah and Karl.
Scott John Miller replied to an on-line ad posted by Shelah and Karl. He instantly connected with the music and shortly after was adding his own influences on the bass guitar. The three members of The Patchwork Quilt Fallacy each have years of on stage experience. Scott has opened for Sponge and Traci Gunns and Karl has performed exclusively for Linda Perry. The Patchwork Quilt Fallacy has opened up for national act Reel Big Fish.
The Patchwork Quilt Fallacy is currently playing shows and promoting the release of their first album, The Great Escape EP. If you live in New Jersey or eastern Pennsylvania, you can also hear them on the Sunday night "Backyard Bands" segment of 95.1 FM WZZO.

Hey guys, Haven't seen you around for awhile. The new song is great, keep it up. You should stop by the Starbucks one Sunday. Keep It Real, Real my Nizzles. (i'm not 100% sure on the spelling of nizzles. if spelling is incorrect, you may replace with homies or compadres)
My favorite song is "We all Just Absorb" - I don't know what your inspirations were for this song, but parts of it really make me think about this war we are in and what the troops and soliders are going through/feeling. Many of them return to the states feeling like they were misinformed about what they where sent over there for, and as for the rest of us, we don't really think about it, we all just aborb what is going on around us and move on with our daily lives.

Hi friends! Thank you very much for your kind comment! It's always so nice to hear from you!! I haven't seen your drums since some time ago...he left the band?? Hope everything's going fine...
Often people attempt to live their lives backwards: they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want so they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then, do what you need to do, in order to have what you want.
