Myspace Layouts About Rachael BernSousa

I decided to make a movie. Sure, I didn't know the first thing about how to do it, but what's a relatively minor detail like that got to do with the price of eggs?

The most effective solution to that problem seemed to be to learn on the job. And that's what I did. I learned to develop and write scripts, to produce, to direct, and then later, to edit, colour correct, and various other things wrapped up in the highly unglamourous world of film post-production.

A lot of people ask me where I think they should go to film school, or tell me how they wish they could make a film too, but don't know how. The only advice I can offer on that front is:

WRITE A SCRIPT! PICK UP A CAMERA! GATHER SOME KINDLY FRIENDS!

Please note that I'm not pooping on film school. I've never been, so I don't know how beneficial it can be. However, nowadays there are so many options available that if you can't afford the fees or time to go to film school, then I strongly encourage you to make things happen for yourself.

Oh, and read my blog in the hope that you can avoid making too many mistakes by reading about the myriad of woops that taught me the skills to make a pretty decent film for next to nuthin.

The digital filmmaking revolution is upon us! Bring forth the films!

About The Film

Shot entirely on location in London and New York City, The Plans of Man is a quirky re-telling of the Biblical Adam and Eve story, with a touch of Greencard.

Adam, PR manager to the stars, finds his perfectly planned life shot to hell when his fianc..e Lilith unexpectedly walks out on him for a new life in New York - alone.

Unable to let go of his vision of their future together, as laid out in his Five Year Plan, Adam embarks on a scheme to win Lilith back by getting himself a promotion to New York - and a greencard.

When American free spirit Evie arrives on Adam's doorstep in a visa jam of Adam's making, she offers a quickie marriage in exchange for a greencard.

It doesn't fit into his plan, but Adam makes the deal. What he doesn..t count on is falling in love with his new wife.

Can Adam stick to his plan and his idea of Paradise, or will he be tempted by what lies outside the life he knows?

Who I'd like to meet:
A discerning audience of film lovers who also enjoy ROCKIN' indie music! Plus, anyone who is thinking of making a film on the lowest of budgets - I have lots of mistakes to share with you, so you don't have to make em!!!

Hello lovely! I can't wait for you to grace these shores, so looking forward to it! I understand you not checking myspace that much anymore.. fb. As for your offer of a video clip, yippee! For sure! I actually have two songs (none of which are up on my space) with a skeleton of a clip idea. I could run them by you and you could decide which one you would like to work on most of all! Lotsa Love x
