The Profilers nasceram a preto e branco, talvez sépia, mas são tudo
menos cinzentos. Até porque o tempo lhes tem acrescentado uns traços
de cor em tons de vermelho e púrpura, aqui e ali. A música que fazem
cheira como o interior de um guarda-fatos antigo, sabe a bourbon e a
cigarros, tem a textura do sangue que jorra nos filmes do Tarantino e do
Robert Rodriguez e a transpira a sensualidade das dançarinas do can
can. E deve soar a muitas coisas, do bom velho rock and roll ao blues,
da bossa ao jazz, do indie pop ao cabaret. Se pudéssemos recuar no
tempo talvez nos cruzassemos com eles algures na Europa continental
dos anos 20, na américa dos 40 e 50 ou em Inglaterra nos 60 e 70. Talvez
até no futuro, se lá fossemos... ou não. Provavelmente não viveremos o
suficiente para vir a saber! São vaidosos mas não pedantes e gostam de
sentir o calor do público quanto estão no palco.
The Profilers were born in black and white, maybe sepia, with a couple arbitrary red brushes on the canvas… but they’re everything but grey. The music they do smells like that vintage closet, it tastes like bourbon and cigars, it has got the touch of the blood that runs on Tarantino or Robert Rodriguez movies. And it should sound like a lot of different stuff, from good old rock n’ roll to blues, from bossa to jazz, from indie pop to cabaret.
If we could travel trough time maybe we would find them on a bunch of spots of last century’s timeline, and the other before also… maybe even the next one… or nor, but that we probably won’t live enough to find out! They’re vain but no pedantic and they love to feel the crowd’s heat while they’re on stage.
