you must be diverse in every genre. music is never limited, music is an open minded exploration. keep digging, never stop searching for that gem. musical selections, ear stimulating beats that make your head nod, that horn or trumpet sound on a jazz track, that vibe or key on a jazz and funk rarity, soulful soundscapes, and most importantly breaking new sound and music to the masses thru any medium possible...

Although neglected for many years, the SOUL of LA has always been Downtown.
Downtown Los Angeles, a place we endearingly call DTLA, is embarking on a very interesting journey. Some see it as a mere cosmetic makeover, while others see the severe gentrification and all of its social ramifications. Either way it is a major changing of identities.
What was once a hustle and bustle area spawned by the industrial revolution, DTLA like many major downtown metropolitan areas fell victim to the urban decay of the 70's & 80's. Right now however, DTLA is on the verge of being the freshest & hippest downtown metropolis in the country.
With this comes a renewal, a rebirth and a revitalization of what the nightlife scene is here in Los Angeles. This renaissance in Downtown LA’s culture (music, art, and nightlife) is crucial to its future. As local Angelinos, we all have a vested interest in this...
As part of a collective of DJ’s, music makers, and creative souls who are passionate about this city, we may not be the catalyst for this renaissance, but we certainly will be part of the movement...
As Angelinos we all have an opportunity to help shape the sights, sounds, people, and culture of DTLA.
Let's do this together.

Those who are actively searching for something more refreshing and positive. Those who are looking for something other than the norm of every other club/lounge in Los Angeles. Those like-minded individuals who see & understand our vision of nightlife & community in LA and who want to build together to actively achieve this shared goal.
The Rhythm Section is built on the love of the search and exposure of quality music. We know the music being waved at the masses is not worth the vinyl it's pressed on. Despite the over-commercialization and saturation of pop music in a market driven by fickle teen dollars, eventually there will be a time when the masses will revolt and find their own artists and songs that speak directly to them.
To folks who are searching for that music outside the box, we'll be here doing our thing. We can't wait to build with you.
