The Root Note is a new business located in the heart of downtown La Crosse. We offer a comfortable, sophisticated setting in which to enjoy coffee, food, music and art. Our goal is to provide the community of La Crosse, WI with a large variety of cultural experiences that can't be found in other downtown venues. FGC is excited to be heading back up to Wisconsin and Minnesota this month! This weekend are shows in Stevens Point WI (All Ages!) and Winona MN (Ages 18+), and a couple weeks down the road, we hit Minneapolis for a show with Heatbox (Ages18+).
In other news, our sold-out New Year's show at the Redstone Room was a roaring success, and for your listening and viewing pleasure, we have both a free audio download of the entire show, as well as a behind-the-scenes video blog.

FGC is back in Wisconsin this Saturday 8/29 for a special show at Tanner’s Grill and Bar in Kimberly, WI. The second annual “Family Affair” will feature several bands, a free pre-party, vendors, and more, all benefitting the Huntington’s Disease Society of America. This is an ALL AGES show! FGC hits the Memorial Union Terrace at UW-Madison for a FREE SHOW on Saturday July 18, with special guests, The Bridge, opening the night. This is sure to be a fun night of music in one of Madison’s most beautiful settings, and we hope you can join us!
Also coming up in Wisconsin at the end of the month is The 3G’s Music Festival (aka Grateful Garcia Gathering) in Black River Falls. It’s the 6th annual celebration of Jerry Garcia’s birthday, and FGC will be headlining the festivities on Saturday August 1.
