The Eagle	Feb 8 2009 7:40 PM CHELSEA GIRLS are made up of members of Hole, The Donnas, Nashville Pussy and othrebands woare stars in their own right. Billed as a pre-Grammy show, Allison Robertson (guitar), Tuesdae (vocals), Corey Parks (bass), and Samantha Maloney )drums) donned the mantle of ‘Super Group’ and practiced some favorite cover-songs ad proceeded to see if they could live up to the ‘Super Group’ billing. As rock shows go, the debut like one of those air superiority fighter demonstrations that you see at military air shows. CHELSEA GIRLS were the US Air Force’s F22 ‘Raptor’ -- the newest toy. The show opened on a strong note, with a rip-roaring cover of Barracuda, the song that cemented Heart’s reputation as a super group in the 1970’s. The next song was equally good. Tuesday then thanked the crowd for coming and said “we’re not up for a Grammy, but we’re gonna rock like we fuckin’ arew..” From there, the show took off and hit the stratosphere with a version of ‘Welcome to the Jungle‘ that was as good as anything Guns ‘N Roses ever did. Full afterburners on, volume up another 10 decibels (again, just like at the air shows), things never let up from there. In a move that would probably sink any other hard rock ofr metal band on stage, they brought out Taylor Dayne to sing one of Madonna’s hits, and actually pulled it off. Next, it was Lemmy Kilimeister, from Motorhead who added his vocals & bass to Ace of Spades, followed by She’s Something Else, an old Eddie Cochran chestnut. Judas Priest covers are always popular: CHELSEA GIRLS opted for You’ve Got Another thing Coming. Not only did CHELSEA GIRLS kick major ass, but they are --visually-- about the best eye candy in heavy metal. It’s hard to come up with enough superlatives to fully describe the show, but I think it’s a safe bet that if offered a choice of VIP tickets to the Grammy Awards or another show by CHELSEA GIRLS, most of those who were at The Roxy on Feb 7 2009 would choose to skip the
