SABBATH RULES Black Sabbath's tribute band from Madrid, formed in the beginning of 2006, when Juan "Johnny Iommi" (guitar) and Max (bass) join together through an ad and started the search for the rest of the members in order to ensemble the band. After some trials they found David "Davil" on vocals and Ivan "Mochi" (drums) in summer 2007, that's when they started rehearsing the whole set. As true fans of Black Sabbath, they had clear that they must show respect for the original songs and try to play them as close as they played in the past, both studio and live versions. Sabbath Rules aren't not playing only Ozzy Osbourne's era, but also Sabbath songs featuring other singers: Ronnie J. Dio, Ian Gillan, Glenn Hughes and Tony Martin. Their debut gig took place on October 31th, 2007, when they played at famous Ritmo & Compás Club, for a Halloween festival. Grupo tributo a Black Sabbath formado en Madrid a primeros de 2006, cuando Juan (guitarra) y Max (bajista) se conocieron a través de un anuncio y empezaron su dura búsqueda por encontrar los componentes adecuados para acabar de completar la banda. Tras varias pruebas encuentran a David (voz) en junio de 2007 y a Iván (batería) un mes después, consolidando así la formación definitiva de Sabbath Rules. Como grandes amantes de Black Sabbath, el repertorio propuesto por los integrantes englobará canciones de todas las épocas de la banda, desde los tiempos gloriosos de los años 70 con Ozzy a la cabeza, pasando por las etapas con Ronnie Dio, Ian Gillan, Glenn Hughes, Ray Gillen y Tony Martin como vocalistas. Los ensayos definitivos para sacar el repertorio comienzan en agosto y el 31 de octubre debutan en la Sala Ritmo y Compás como grupo invitado especial en un festival de Halloween con otras 3 bandas madrileñas. El objetivo de la banda es tocar los temas lo más fidedignamente posible a los originales y por supuesto, tocar en vivo lo máximo posible y poder transportar en la cercanía el feeling único y legendario de la banda de Birmingham.

.. ABOUT BLACK SABBATH: Besides Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, probably the 3 most influential rock bands ever to come out from UK and the godfathers of heavy rock. Formed in Birmingham, England, in 1968, first known as EARTH, the original line-up consisted on John "Ozzy" Osbourne on vocals, Anthony Frank Iommi on guitar, Terence "Geezer" Butler on bass and William Ward on drums. They started all in February the 13th, 1970, when the first Black Sabbath album was available to listen. Shortly after, the 2nd album Paranoid went stright to #1 in Britain, leaving the real trademark of the band forever. After some succesful albums world wide, Sabbath entered in a period of lost of musical values, that finished with the departure of Ozzy to start a solid solo career. Sabbath brought in Ronnie James Dio, to sign 2 excellent LP's in early 80's, but the tenure didn't last and again the singer was out to start his own career. During late 80's and 90's, Sabbath had a lot of personal changes, being Tony Iommi the only survivor from the original line-up. From 1996, Sabbath primary members are reunited again, recording the double live "Reunion" and 2 new tracks and playing live from time to time, although Iommi & Butler restarted the Dio's era along with Vinnie Appice in 2006, this time under the moniker "Heaven and Hell".
