Sounds Like
the rockin' est jazziest coolest folk music you'd ever heard
"the rockin' est jazziest coolest folk music we'd ever heard!" -All About Town
Sarah Hughes wrote a bunch of songs and started playing them out around town by herself as a solo acoustic performer. As she got more popular, she started adding accompinament players to add a little extra flavor to her acoustic shows. As a year or so past and after racking up several awards for her solo project, Sarah solidified a full band lineup that continues to perpetuate Sarah's music to higher levels and more awards. A few of her latest awards consist of: Folk band of the year; female vocalist of the year; singer / songwriter of the year; solo performer of the year; and nominations for album of the year and artist of the year. Take the best singer /songwriter solo performer from your region, hand pick an all-star lineup of musicians from various bands around the region, and put them together. What do you get???????? THE SARH HUGHES BAND!!!!!!!!
Hope you guys are great!! I miss the good ole days back in Fayetteville watching you at the pizza place on the back deck and Sundays at George's. I know ya'll are in Texas now but you should come up to Portland and hang out!!!
I had so much fun playing music with ya during your visit! Thanks for having me on the gigs. See you in a couple of months in Austin. We need to schedule a Charliehorse/Sarah Hughes show while we're down there.
