THE SEXTRESS was formed in 1986 from an idea that five guys wanted to have some fun making music.
The band has always gotten its inspiration from GARAGE type music with typically psychedelic tones and sounds.
We played songs by legendary bands of this genre and especially truly legendary groups such as FUZZTONES, LYRES, CREEPS .
After a lot of rehearsing we started playing in the local PUBS, sparking some interest in this genre. In the meantime, thanks to our “musical” maturity, which was gradually growing, we also started playing songs from other genres and rearranging them in our own EXPLOSIVE style.
We started performing quite frequently both in bars and in many local musical festivals. We were also asked to play backup for more famous bands, such as SKIANTOS , FLESHTONES, JAMES TAYLOR QUARTET, CHESTERFIELD KINGS, LORDS OF ALTAMONT and FUZZTONES.
The band has had numerous formations (eleven) but nonetheless we have always managed to go ahead with our musical “project” and are now considered to be a “rarity” in Friuli with this genre (and proud of it!!).
We recorded two demo in a studio and in 2006 we released our CD “In Apologize” containing seven tracks inspired to Psychedelic Garage. The CD is distributed by Now Sound from Rome.
We have been playing for almost 20 years now; yes, there have been many gigs but our riveting way of performing and our great desire to play make this band gush forth pure energy each time we play.
We can proudly say The Sextress are present, with the garage “anthem” BAD NEWS TRAVELS FAST, in the prestigious album ILLEGITTIMATE SPAWN, a tribute CD to The Fuzztones produced by Sin Records of Rudi Protrudi.
In 2007 The Sextress begun the tour “IN FUZZ WE TRUST” in Italy and Switzerland as Backing Band of Rudi Protrudi and Lana Loveland from The Fuzztones. Seven dates of pure energy which contributed to make our band known abroad. A dream come true.
From this amazing experience we are pleased to announce the birth of “IN SEX WE FUZZ”, a live CD including 16 tracks from all the dates. Sixteen classics of Fuzztones played by The Sextress, with a superb Rudi Protrudi at the vocals and a bewitching Lana Loveland, the mistress of the Hammond organ.

I SEXTRESS nascono nel 1986, da un' idea di cinque ragazzi che volevano divertirsi un po a fare musica. La band si è sempre ispirata al genere GARAGE con alcune tinte e sonorità tipicamente PSICHEDELICHE. Proponevano brani di varie band di questo genere ed in particolar modo di gruppi come FUZZTONES, SONICS, LYRES, CREEPS, PRISONERS e molti altri ancora.
Dopo un buon periodo di sala prova, iniziano a fare le prime serate nei PUB locali suscitando comunque interesse, per il genere proposto. Intanto grazie anche alla maturità musicale che via via si accumulava, cominciano ad inserire nel repertorio anche brani di altro genere rivisitati nel VULCANICO stile SEXTRESS.
Le loro esibizioni iniziano ad essere abbastanza frequenti sia nei locali ma anche in molte rassegne musicali a livello locale. Sono stati chiamati a dare supporto anche a band più famose tra le quali ricordiamo gli SKIANTOS, FLESHTONES, HARD ONS, JAMES TAYLOR QUARTET, importanti Garage Band come CHESTERFIELD KINGS, LORDS OF ALTAMONT e FUZZTONES.
La band ha cambiato numerose formazioni, riuscendo comunque sempre a portare avanti il suo progetto musicale.
All’ attivo hanno registrato due Demo,1999 e 2003.
Nel 2006 è uscito “in APOLOGIZE” il loro ultimo lavoro distribuito dalla Now Sound, etichetta di Roma, che comprende sette tracce ispirate al Garage Psychedelico.
Un brano Energy, oltre che in emittenti locali ( Radio Onde Furlane, Radio Capodistria e Radio Gorizia ), durante la trasmissione radiofonica di Radio Rai 1 DEMO dei conduttori Michael Pergolani e Renato Marengo, i quali hanno definito la band davvero interessante e trascinante capace di uno psico rock che ci piace assai.
Partecipano anche al Cd Tributo ai Fuzztones ILLEGITIMATE SPAWN, prodotto dalle Sin Records, assieme ad altre 42 Band provenienti da tutto il mondo con il brano "Bad News Travels Fast".
Nel 2007 poi i Sextress partecipano come Backing Band di Rudi Protrudi e Lana Loveland al Tour in Italia e Svizzera IN FUZZ WE TRUST. Un sogno divenuto realtà.
Da quell' esperienza quest' anno e uscito IN SEX WE FUZZ, CD live che comprende 16 storiche canzoni trà le più mitiche della storia dei Fuzztones con alla voce e all' organo Hammond il cantante e la tastierista dei Fuzztones stessi.
A quasi 20 anni di vita, la voglia di proporre i brani e la grande passione di suonare ancora fanno della band un mix di energia pura sprigionata volta per volta.
