The Shanklin Freak Show is a theatrical Circus-Rock band from Isle Of Wight.
Starting merely as a concept in 2003 by central member Mr. Strange, The Shanklin Freak Show has slowly evolved into something real. With it’s musical roots firmly placed in Vaudeville, Rock, Circus and Cabaret, The Shanklin Freak Show played their first live show at the beginning of 2007. Since then, we have played as regularly as possible in as many cities around the country as we can. We have 4 core musical members, 2 additional performers and occasionally more circus performers joining us on-stage for larger shows.
The Shanklin Freak Show stubbornly refuses to jump on any current bandwagon. Fads come and go, and as the media kisses the ass of the next musical trend. The Shanklin Freak Show will endeavor to make the kind of music that most bands are too scared to create.
