"Catchy songs. Sexy lyrics. Sharp arrangements. Crafty musicianship. I'm predicting big things for this project...A simple message to those who read this column: Give this band a listen."
- Alan K. Stout, The Weekender
"The most ambitious band we've interviewed."
- Marissa Phillips, The Beacon
"The SilenTreatment's music comes together nicely, blending radio-friendly rock rhythms with the band's own mixture of harder melodies and fluent chord progressions, all backing Giamusso's lead vocals...The band's devotion to music and the members' friendships will hopefully be a combination that will give the band the longevity they deserve."
- Ryan O'Malley, Sunday Dispatch

THE SILENTREATMENT knows what it takes to reach an audience’s heart through its ears. Blending radio-friendly rock rhythms with the band’s own mixture of harder melodies and fluent chord progressions, THE SILENTREATMENT combines its old school rock and metal influences with a modern pop approach to deliver a fresh, unique version of edgy, sexy rock.
THE SILENTREATMENT began in 2005, when Anthony Giamusso began searching for bandmates to help create his musical vision. By the turn of 2006, Giamusso joined forces with Sam Chiarelli, and the nucleus of the band was formed. They recruited longtime friend, Michael Sharkey, to play keyboards for the group and provide them with an exciting host of musical options. “We knew we were onto something,” comments Giamusso. “We all had really similar musical tastes, but approached music from very different directions.” Next, Giamusso tracked down his former bandmate, drummer Mark Lieback, to lay down the funk and groove on drums. Finally, Giamusso was able to lure bassist Stephen Martin away from pharmacy school and into the fold of THE SILENTREATMENT. “Man, we were so lucky to get Mark and Stephen. They were our number one choices,” Giamusso said. “They bring talents far beyond their instruments.”
In the spring of 2007, the young band caught the attention of the management firm Centerline Artists, and soon after found themselves surrounded by a strong and capable team of professionals. In November 2007, THE SILENTREATMENT entered the studio to begin recording their debut album for Eschelon Records, SINFUL ACTS OF AUDIO. “Things just happened so fast – it’s dizzying,” says Giamusso.
The songs on SINFUL ACTS OF AUDIO rock and ooze emotion. “We think ’Sinful’ is a damn sexy record,” Giamusso adds. “It really captures the true essence of the band. There are 10 songs full of love, lust and passion that everyone can relate to – regardless of age.”
Determined to make their mark, THE SILENTREATMENT is committed to re-establishing the essence of the true rock show. “People say they’re going to SEE a band in-concert,” says Giamusso, “yet for years, these live shows have been less than eye appealing.” He continues, “We want to bring back the days of the big, exciting rock shows – you know, when audiences were really entertained both sonically and visually. We want our audiences to leave feeling like they got more than they could ever have expected.”
