After touring steadily in support of its promising 2005 EP, "Through the Opaque Air," yet still relatively unknown, the Slow Signal Fade somehow managed to charm uber-producer Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, P.J. Harvey) into helming the band's full-length indie debut. "Steady," a disc of brooding, widescreen focus, marked with just enough of Albini's trademark abrasion and bite, is the collaborative result.
