| About The SpacePimps (EP OUT NOW iTunes and Smartpunk!) |

In a music scene oversaturated with guys wearing girls' jeans and eyeliner, The SpacePimps are a breath of fresh air, playing honest melodic/punk music with enough style to steal any girlfriend away from her boyfriend. Born in 2004, The SpacePimps started out just like any other band: playing Blink 182 covers in their parents' basements praying to God that they would never have to go to college and get real jobs.
After the release of their debut full length entitled "Turn It Up!" the band got pushed into the upper echelon of independent artists. They had a two page spread on them in Newsweek Magazine (yes, that Newsweek) along with articles in Alternative Press and many other zines. Their ruthless touring and determined promotion of the record helped push sales near 5,000 in the United States (plus another 5,000 copies of their EP, The Ten Things EP, relased in 2004). Soon after the release, the band signed with Japanese record label, Kick Rock Music, where the record was released. A tour of Japan ensued; one of the shows was the music festival @United in Tokyo, to a sold out Club Quattro (one of the largest club venues in Tokyo). The SpacePimps are a prime example of what one band can do with this unstoppable drive. What’s next? With the formula in tact, the sky is the limit.
