   About The Spirites Consort
The Spirites Consort is primarily known as a Renaissance band, though we have often branched out into different hybrids of jazz, folk and mainstream classical since the 1990s, especially in concert. The impetus for the band was innovation and improvisation on well-known folk and classical covers and to merge genres (cross-over). We are all seasoned players with many, many years of professional experience and the band has gone through some changes since its inception and is ever defining itself. Featured instruments include guitars, recorders, whistles, hammered dulcimer, double bass, violin, baritone violin and percussion.

Musical educational background of our players includes Berklee, New England Conservatory, Boston Conservatory, Eastman School of Music, College of Saint Rose and DePaul Unviversity.

“Spirites” is an olde English way of spelling “Spirits”.

Hello my musical friends! I seem to always come back to your song "Thinkest Thou" every so many months and put it up as my profile song :-) I have it playing now. I like all of your songs, but that one just stays in my head and I'm drawn to it for some reason :-) Come by and visit sometime...Hope your summer is great!

Peace,
Lady Anna K.
