   About Michael Hilder

What do you get when you combine the love of medieval/ fantasy tales with powerful hard rock music? You get the first installment of Michael Hilders new rock trilogy The Storm Part One which is out now...

“Hilder uses both his storytelling and music talents to bring in the characters, so real that you can picture them before you" Marlene Palumbo - Indienink Music

Since its release in December 2007, The Storm has already sold into a staggering 12 countries throughout Europe, Asia and the U.K as well as the U.S.A and Australia. Songs from The Storm Part One can be heard on radio stations all over the world as well as interviews and live features such as the latest interview with Ken from Bad Attitude Radio

“Some very good elements do exist in this effort and especially the guitar work that is sounds like the late 70’s bands. Worth to mention are also the audio effects during the tracks that help the concept of the album to become more “alive”… Lampros Tennes - MetalZone Webzine

From the sheer brutality of songs like “Modern World” and “The Wind of Change” to the exquisite beauty of “Left in the Dark” which has just featured on WSVN Volume 20 in the U.S.A, this album has it all. Michael has teamed up with producer Steve Harrison and numerous special guests such as Chrissie Phillips sharing vocals to produce an album with no “fillers”.

“Recently I had the utmost pleasure to discover very talented entertainer that I feel everyone will enjoy learning more about. Michael Hilder is an amazing singer who knows how to deliver to his fans the music that can pack a punch. If you love Classic Rock, then Michael’s music is a plus to any true rock fan”… Isaac Davis Joseph Jnr –Juniors Cave Magazine

Every song has a place on “The Storm”. The whole concept of “The Storm” is to tell a story through songs, dialogue, character parts and special effects to draw the audience into the album and to allow them to visualize the story.

"Hilders willingness to try any ingredients he thinks fit to make up his music pays off dividends as the album progresses. All the character dialogue within the musical is convincing and the participants should be congratulated on their role playing Al Hey - Hard Rock House

It all began in the summer of 1991 when Michael began to pen his own rock musical, The Storm. To tell the story, he combined powerful rock guitar riffs, galloping bass lines and majestic piano melodies to give every one of his songs their own identity. Each one was painstakingly written and re-written until it fitted perfectly with each individual chapter of the story.

“No surprise that Jim Steinman was the inspiration for this rock opera, although very different”… Marlene Palumbo - Indienink Music

Michael’s fan base is growing all the time and they are as loyal as any rock fans going around. It is these fans that are helping to push The Storm into every corner of the world, one CD at a time. A mailing list is also now available to join with free merchandise and CD/ Videos being given away.

“He has something of a cult following overseas and has shipped off CD’s all over the world. Fans from Britain, the U.S and the continent post messages on his my space page” Megan Hustwaite – Leader Newspaper

This is only the beginning. With a second and third album to complete the trilogy, The Storm is a big production, theatrical Rock experience that looks destined to join the great concept albums of our time.

"This talented Australian gent throws together about everything great the British classic rock scene of that time generated into twelve impressive gems that makes you wonder if the elapsing of the last 35 years has itself been a figment of the imagination"... Dave Attrill - Metalliville

Yeah mike, agree with your comment. Think that all the people inside Rock/metal tastes should have to put Sabbath in the Top in appreciation of all they did it in all those times....

and dont forget others pioneers like Blue Cheer and Iron Butterfly. All my respect for them too!

Greetings from Spain my friend

Yeah,well... the name's still in pending. I've stayed the same for too long. Emily's been saying that the picture and the name bring back bad memories. I think it's just a picture and a name. But, I still have the samuri picture and now I'm just trying to re-decorate a bit!

Oh! by the way, I voted for your song on that radio site! I honestly, truthfully, and sincerely don't know why you're not WINNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Left in the Dark was in second last I checked. You must obtain the victory with your greatness!!!!! Conquer!!!!

Anywho, it's nice to hear from you, Mike! You doin' swell? The next album coming along? Have you EARNED money yet? Waz up?

Keep Rockin'!
