The Striders are a 4 piece Psychedelic Dream Pop band from Southwest Connecticut. Blending abrasive and aggressive rhythms with subtle and beautiful melodies, The Striders are able to create uniquely crisp yet warm, lavishly adorned textures while still keeping their pop sensibility. Formed in 2003 by Jayson Munro with Dave Corsak on drums and Matt Stevens on second guitar, the band's lineup has evolved in dramatic ways since then. In the fall of
that year(2003) the group lost Matt and gained Robert Denby. Robert started
off on bass and eventually moved to rhythm guitar and backing vocals.
After this lineup change The Striders have had a great number of
bassists: Chris Cestari, Matt Corsak (Dave's older brother), Rick
Visser (of tapereelsforeyes.com), Jeremy Lazaro and finally Lucas Rage. With Lucas wielding the bass The Striders have finally found their
perfect lineup.
