The Suitable Few are a Sydney based five piece live band. Blending the phat grooves of hip hop with elements of funk, jazz and rock their show has become renowned for their audience driven 'Topic Jams' where the crowd are asked to suggest topics which are then transformed into an improvised song.
Fronted by MCs Adikkal and Balistik (both Nu Func MC Battle Champions) The Suitable Few consist of Nikk on Guitar, Wayne on the Drums and Matt "Flatsticks" Bond on Bass.
After releasing their debut EP in 2004, The Suitable Few have honored their live shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle, Wollongong and Canberra; alongside acts such as The Herd, Fast Crew, 28 Days, Downsyde, Fizard and Spiderbait.
The enthusiastic response to this independently produced EP meant that in time, the limited copies pressed were all but gone. Enter Peter Pasqual (head of Creative Vibes) who, upon hearing the CD, decided that Australia deserved to hear The Suitable Few and lined up a distribution deal.
The CD has now been re-pressed and is available in stores across Australia and New Zealand. The band are currently preparing for their sophomore release, due out early 2007, featuring "The Fringe Of Society".
