Galway based band The Sun Seekers are on the go since 2003, developing their intense and dramatic pop/rock sound. They are Fintan Donnelly on lead vocals & rhythm guitar, James Sharkey on drums, Brian O'Sullivan on lead guitar and Roswell Stanley on bass & backing vocals. 2005 saw them release their debut EP “Peace and Love” which was produced with the help of Tony Lambert, who is an ex-keyboard and Hammond organ player with The Saw Doctors and Bonnie Tyler Band. Later that year The Sun Seekers released their debut album “Window shopping for Porsches” on their own label Rainy Records. The album displays the band’s ear for pure pop melody while carrying a contemplative tone with tracks of heart-rending beauty, wit and often deceptively dark lyrics. Memorable tracks include “Peace and Love”, “Hurly Burly” and “Escapade”. Produced with the help of Tony Lambert (ex-Saw Doctors and Bonnie Tyler Band) and Kenny Ralph (Sun Street Studios) there are a number of guest appearances, including Johnny Donnelly (ex-Saw Doctors), Cormac Dunne (the Stunning) and Derek Murray (the Stunning and ex-Saw Doctors). The Sun seekers have spent 2006 gigging and working on their next album which is due to be released next year.
