   About the Tailors
“An ace blend of Will Oldham and Michael Nesmith, with its edgy tones and weirded-out lyrics, ensure this is a narcotic necessity if you like slightly scruffy Americana.” (SoundsXP)

“An examination of tragic flaws in a tragic world it is an admirable debut.” (rockfeedback)

“The songs are like being hugged by an old friend and on some sort of ancient primal level, they bring a sense of acheivement, as if you'd just heard the first ever country songs being played.” (Play Music)

“what a great debut - a bunch of musicians getting off on the sounds they are creating 8/10" (Americana UK)

“an album that can't help but make you smile, kick off your heels, pour another and get busy doing nothing.” (Disorder)

“the best country-tinged indie-pop since the Lemonheads” (Maverick)

“a collection of songs which can make even the coldest heart melt” (Rockbeatstone)

“Honed to perfection” (The Morning Star)

“Those save themselves very well themselves. The broken heart will be healed by the first little girl who runs beyond. Them it will break also but that is of later care” (Hanx.net)

“***...(!)” (Q)

Some of the Tailors come from the countryside, some from London and one from Vancouver.

This year Trash Aesthetics released their debut album Wakey Wakey and pretty much everyone liked it. Their second release Come Dig Me Up is planned for 2008 - recorded by Jamie Lockhart and and Lee Smith in the belfry of Greenmount Villa (an old townhouse in Wakefield). You can pick up a copy of the first record in most good record shops or direct from Trash Aesthetics by clicking on the links below.

Let's just start by apologising for this "automatic comment" thing. We know it's annoying when bands you've never heard of spam your myspace.

However, this isn't meant to be spam. This is just a humble invite for you to come to our myspace, have a listen to the music and leave us some feedback? We'd really appreciate it, and we'll always reply to you.

Hope to hear from you soon (if we haven't already)

:)

THOSE DANCING DAYS

JOHN and JEHN

+ THE RESEARCH

TUESDAY JUNE 3rd @ BRUDENELL SOCIAL CLUB

Tickets: £6 Doors: 7.30pm

Tickets from: Jumbo Records, Crash Records and The Brudenell as well as See Tickets:

http://www.myspace.com/thosedancingdays

Currently Sweden's hottest export, THOSE DANCING DAYS combine "Sweet as apple-pie pop" with a devilishly sassy Northern Soul and it's this unique combination that has the got the whole of the UK falling over itself and for good reason too!

The subtle dynamics in their songwriting of JOHN and JEHN and the balance between chaos and beauty and the mastery of heartbreaking melodies Expect beautifully skewed hymns in the key of Serge Gainsbourg.

Wakefield's THE RESEARCH are makers of fun, but also write songs that are like punches in the stomach that knock the wind out of you but afterwards you agree that you feel much better for it.

Kling Klang

I totally buzz off Kling Klang. Fat electro krautrock riffs and landscapes get channeled through amiable scousers.

listen to Heavydale

Quack Quack

Yorskhire's top semi-pro rock band create pulsing rhythmic grooves lovingly fermented from the finest drums, synths and bass they could get their hands on. A very special vintage.

Minghe Morte

Musicianship of the highest calibre which will blow your head clean off. With drums, fucked up sax and bass coming together for infectiously violating rock grooves, tender atmospheres and aggresive spasmodic climaxing.

Curious Voice Duo

Two lovely girls from LIMA* who know their voices. Performing within semi-structures with an innocent improvisational flair, entwining their heavenly voices in gorgeously melodic dialogue. With no added vocal effects.
