"As cool as the first two bands were, The Tangled Lines totally blew them away. Within the first couple seconds of their set, I knew that this was the main event. These Dresden natives played socially aware hardcore punk that was loud, fast, and overall intense. They played with such ardor and energy, I just couldn’t help but thrash around like a total idiot, something I haven’t really done in a long time at a show.
It was like they had me by the throat and wouldn’t let go the entire time they were playing. It was fucking awesome. I was especially impacted by the energy of their vocalist Luise, who sounded like a kind of demented german punk version of the girl from Melt Banana with her wild high octave yelling. They ended their set with a David Hasselhoff cover, which they were actually able to pull off. It sounded awesome as fucking hell.
I have no clue how long The Tangled Lines played, but I know I was sad as hell when their set ended. It was so cathartic and awesome, I just wanted to hug the whole band and thank them for giving me such a cool experience. One of the best bands I’ve ever seen live by far."
