About ULTRACITY (Elias & Yourhighness )
In 2007 Elias & Yourhighness joined forces and founded the duo ULTRACITY. The journey began already 1995 when Elias & Yourhighness became friends and started dj-ing together. Long before ULTRACITY they were doing musical projects on their own. Elias was involved in the project ”Slippery people” working with disco legend Leroy Burgess and Adeva and later ”Arken” releasing music on the “Jazzanova” label “Sonarkollektiv”. Yourhighness produced techno and electro-acoustic music for art film and fashion. In 2006 he co-founded the disco club “Rollerboys” with Mans ( part of the Dj-Duo Rollerboys) and in 2007 he started the disco label “Rollerboys Recordings” with help from Elias and Mans.
ULTRACITY produce what they call ”Epic Disco”, which is influenced by Italo Disco, Boogie Disco, Detroit Techno and early Chicago / NYC – house. Their music is based on beautiful melodies, strong bass-lines and intelligent drum programming. After their first release the “Swetalic EP” on “Rollerboys Recordings” they have been sought-after remixers putting using their skills on : a new Swedish duo called “Pallers” the Swedish pop-sensation “Jens Lekman”, and Bogdan Irkük a.k.a BULGARI (Rollerboys Recordings) Since 2008 Ultracity are also performing live.
