The Union is one of the hottest up-and-coming party bands. Based in Philadelphia, PA, The Union's individual style and sound has taken them as far as Killington, Vermont and Key West, Florida. The Union are at home in any situation from shore bars to college clubs to casinos to private parties and weddings. One thing is for sure, they bring the party everywhere they go!
The band is lead by vocalist Mike Cassam, also know as "English Mike". Born in westershire England, English Mike is a multi-talented frontman who brings the charisma of Coldplay and combines it with the funkified soul of Jason Mraz. In addition, to fronting the band, English Mike also handles lead and acoustic guitar as well as keyboards and piano.
On stage right you'll find Damon Deprospero. The hottest new guitar player on the scene, Damon is the perfect Eddie Van Halen to English Mike's Stevie Ray Vaughn. The rhythm section powerhouse of Chris Grasso on drums and Terry Conrad on bass keep the dance-floor rockin' and groovin' all night. Damon and Terry also front the band adding songs by Green Day, Garth Brooks and Sublime.
The Union's method is simple: bring the party to the crowd! When partying with The Union, audience participation is a must! English Mike says, "I always love it when someone comes up to me and says 'I've never heard people sing like that in my life'." With a song repertoire as diverse as Runaround Sue to Run DMC, the band keeps one thing in mind: "We want everyone in the room to be singing and dancing all night long!" English Mike adds, "What can we say, we love what we do...."
