99 BANDS FROM THE UK AND IRELAND PLAYING ORIGINAL 30 SECOND SONGS RECORDED JUST FOR THIS COMPILATION.
INCLUDES TRACKS BY THE UPGRADES, SONIC BOOM SIX, PENDELTON, OUR GOOD FRIENDS ROBOLINT, AND LOADS MORE!!
THE UPGRADES are a well-oiled ska-punk-machine from Dublin, Ireland.
The depth of their commitment to the genre is very evident, and altho they have firmly established themselves as a ska band at heart their music clearly points to a targetted audience more in touch with mainstream commercial music than just a niche market of ska enthusiasts.
The Upgrades have fused modern day influences, including hints of pop-punk with reggae rhythm and punchy beats.
The band have covered a lot of tracks on the scene in the past few years playing neumerous high profile shows with bands of many diffrent genres including popular ska acts The Planet Smashers and Mustard Plug, American pop punk acts Set Your Goals and No Trigger, and a successfull tour of the UK with label mates Robolint.
They were also picked as the opening act on the Irish date of the 2006 International TASTE OF CHAOS tour, sharing the stage with such acts as Taking Back Sunday, Alexisonfire, Saosin, Anti-Flag, Senses Fail and Underoath.
Other high profile shows include the Staatsforsten Open Air Festival in Germany, the Cula Outdoor Music Festival and support slots with Canadian reggae superstars Bedouin Sound Clash, American rock/reggae band State Radio, ska legend Neville Staple (ex-The Specials), The Beat, and Mark Foggo's Skasters.
The Upgrades are currently in the studio recording their Debut Album with Neal Calderwood in Manor Park Studios, which they aim to release later this year.
