Don’t be fooled by their rural Missouri roots or delinquent charm; these not-exactly-clean-cut, not-always-clean-shaven Classic Rock junkies are not your average small-town garage band. No more than thirty seconds into “Champagne Bottles and Chandeliers,” the opening track of their self-titled album, it is already apparent what the listener can expect from the record as a whole: a little like the objects the song title indicates, The Verbs’ music is bright, polished, and sometimes poignant but still has enough kinetic energy to shake you from your seat. A home-cooked meal in a processed, pre-packaged world, these are some tunes that feel fresh and satisfy the soul. And after you’ve feasted on about forty-five minutes of tasty vocal harmonies, hot guitar riffs, and a healthy portion of belly-rumbling drum beats, you’ll realize this is not a form of nourishment you can do without. Seasoned Verbs’ fans will rejoice to hear their old favorites in crystalline studio perfection, while new listeners will be impressed by their effortless, off-hand elegance, the kind that often accompanies serious, hands-on effort.
Harkening back to the 2nd grade, a verb is, simply put, that thing you do. Singing, strumming, sliding, beating—these Verbs do it all. But why get bogged down in the technical details? The one thing they do consistently and consistently well can be summed up quite easily—they rock. Review by Brittany Beck

It says on your headline you're recording for the album in august. When is it actually out for sale? Because, for some really strange reason, i like your guys' band a lot.
