Charley and Hattie grew up in Kent, England in a large family consisting of a banjo player, a comedian, a hairdresser, four drummers, a cake specialist at Fortnum and Mason, a concert pianist, and a tennis coach. Their childhood of family wagon driving holidays had bohemian soundtracks and unusual destinations. This was peppered with jamming in family bands and late car rides into London nightlife to collect their Dad and band mates from club circuit gigs.
The sisters began writing and playing music at an early age, learning instruments and singing in bands together. Charley took to the guitar, piano, sax, clarinet and drums and Hattie, the harp and piano.
They recorded an album of their songs in Nashville Tennessee, 'Piece of Mind', and travelled between to LA and London playing at gigs and parties, with Charley's guitar and Hattie's 22 string lap harp.
The girls signed a Publishing Deal with Windswept Pacific Publishing and then a record deal with Universal Records in the sunshine of Los Angeles, California. Heading back to London to make their second album, 'Daylight Crossing' they recorded with legendary musicians Steve Gadd and Pino Palladino at London's Abbey Road and Sarm Hook End Studios.
In 2007, the girls, as independent artists, are flying solo.
The Webb Sisters and their band were chosen to represent the United Kingdom at America's 400th Anniversary in May 2007, performing alongside Chaka Khan and Bruce Hornsby.
Charley and Hattie have recorded a pro-peace song, ‘Fortune of Soldiers’, for a Judy Collins tribute record alongside Dolly Parton, Rufus Wainwright, Chrissy Hynde, and Shawn Colvin.
The album 'Born To The Breed' is due for release on Wildflower Records.
The Webb Sisters were featured as ' Record of the Week' and 'Album of the week' alongside Ray Lamontagne, at BBC Radio 2.
Charley and Hattie have toured and performed with artists such as Jamie Cullum, Jason Mraz, Cara Dillon, Kubb and James Morrison; and played live on The Sharon Osbourne Show.

thank you for the add! you girls are amazing. i was fortunate enough to see Leonard Cohen live in St. John's, Newfoundland on May 27 - with you and all the other fantastic band members that show was a miracle. i wish you all the very best, greetings from Hungary, G
I've seen Leonard many times, the first in 1970, and this was definitely one of the best thanks, in no small part, to your marvellous contribution. The harmonies were just perfect. Hope to see you all again at the O2.
Hi girs, just wanted to say how amazing your voices are and how well you fit in to the Leonard Cohen world...prefection. I went to the shows in Dublin, Manchester and now looking forward to Edinburgh. Enjoy the rest of the tour and good luck in the future.
Saw you at the Leonard Cohen gig in Manchester on the 18th. Great show. You girls have got fantastic voices. You should release your version of "If It Be Your Will". Excellent! Looking forward to watching the Glastonbury gig on BBC2.
Hey girls, thanks for the add... I was at Dublin and like everyone has said "If it be your will" was out of this world. I dont think I have ever heard vocals with what sounded like little or no effects sound so amazing and haunting. It blew me away. Your vocals through the whole gig were amazing. Hope the tour is going well and the riders are not too boring :-) Im at Glastonbury with the band so may get to see you with Cohen again. Have a sunny and brilliant day..
I can only concur that the gig at Manchester with Leonard Cohen was one of the best I've ever been to. The sound was fantastic, the band was an amazing collection of musicians and your performance throughout but particularly in "If it be your Will" was 'spine tingling' in an evening of superlatives. There's also a small piece in my blog about the gig.
Thank you for your truly sublime contribution to the miracle that happened in Manchester last night. Your version of "If it Be Your Will" was exquisite. The concert exceeded all my expectations (even though I've never missed a Leonard Cohen UK tour). Looking forward to O2 where I thankfully have a seat near the front!
